#356735 Cost of Lumber

Posted by hassell on 06 May 2021 - 02:26 PM

Never a dull moment Glen, glad you're putting affairs behind you now, yes lumber is through the  roof as well as everything else since covid. $ 60.00 a sheet for 7/16 osb here, up 2 to 300 % prices.

I was fueling my plane when this happened, the eagle grabbed the swan then they both tumbled to the lake but let go before they hit the ice, they were doing a stare down when I jumped on the skido and checked out the action, the eagles flew away to a cottonwood and watched, the swan fluffed its feathers and started running for liftoff, all was well, guess I used the wrong word.

Back in the day I saw one grab a swan about 20 ft. above the frozen lake, have a pic. of the swan on the lake after the rescue, the 2 eagles were not happy with that.

Big problem with them in Stanley Park on the west coast of B.C. - yotes biting runners and bikers. A  Griz. chased down a guy on a bike that had gotten in between her cubs a few years ago a couple miles from our place.

Great pic. Glen, I seen a truck through the ice once, these guys drove out on the lake late in the year, brand new snow machine in the back, rear of the truck went through, snow machine slid off, front half of the truck was sticking above the ice because the 2 doors were left open when they bailed out, probably 10 grand cost for that fishing trip.

That's a great average considering what's going on in the world, definitely a skinner worth keeping. Great year and thanks for the adventure.

#355939 8mm rem mag 24" barrel 220 gr sierra 3200 fps, where to stop?

Interesting, consistent accuracy is more important than speed in my opinion.
