Tree Branch Calls
Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon !
If you want to be successful, Be like a postage stamp, Stick to it until you get there

I am down in Tidewater and have access to a large plot of land directly against the Dismal Swamp... a lot of Cats and Coyotes down here!
Just bought the Alpha Dog call and am looking forward to testing it out.
Anyone have a good reference of specific rules for Coyote hunting in Va?

I'm sure the Virginia DNR/ DOW/Game and fish or whatever they call it there has a book of regulations on line. Usually a call will help to answer all your questions.

Anyone doing any good? I've called in two but can't seem to get my ducks in a row for making the shot
If you've called in two, your doing better than me. I've only been out a couple of times but hope to get out more in the coming weeks. Keep after them, you'll get'em.

Anywhere to hunt coyote in Roanoke area. Public lands?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
I may be wrong but I think there is some National Forest in the Roanoke area. If not there deffenetly is some Nat. Forest in Botetourt Co just north of Roanoke. Yote hunting is though on Nat. Forest but you can get a bobcat or two. Good luck and welcome to PT!

Another VA boy here! Out in Amelia. Do pretty good on the foxes and cats but still looking for that first eastern coyote. Been out west a few times with some luck but the dogs around here are a total different ballgame.

I'm out of the Tidewater area, but lost my land the day before Turkey season started. Dr. Death if you ever want to get up give me a shout. I do a lot of waterfowl hunting as well.
All you guys in the "open" parts of VA should feel lucky. Land is hard to come by around here.

Pulaski County here
No one will ban your hunting guns...they will call them assault weapons first.
