Decided to clean up camp and did just that in about a half hour.  T/C Contender w/10-inch, .45/.410 barrel loaded with 2 1/2 inch, #6 shot.  Plenty good medicine.

Got the camera set up at the feed site, so we'll see what bites on these recycled rascals.

First pic shows feral cat too early for buffet.

Second pic shows crows' arrival 59 minutes after dinner was served.

Third pic shows vultures enjoying some appetizers.

Already put out a red squirrel punched out this morning.

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !

It was opening day of crow season Saturday and Bullwinkle and I popped a few with the chum trick. Couldn't find some in the 4-foot tall grass, so Bullwinkle took his hound out there and he sniffed them out.  I used one of Big D's custom crow calls, too.  I know we woke up the neighbors, because I got a text from one who wanted to know what we were doing out there blasting away in August.  Yes, a person can hear the sunrise when crow season opens around my place.  Bullwinkle got to try out his new O/U 20-gauge, two-pipe shoots gun, too.

Yeah, Fred.  60-day season then again Feb-Mar.  Good time now to get some dumb ones, if there is such a thing.

Congrats to you on a fine day blasting crows. Congrats to Bullwinkles dog for finding the nearly lost ones and finally to Bullwinkle for not shedding blood ( please tell me he didn’t) and for shooting a few as well.
Which 20 O/U does he have.

YD,  I believe it's a Turkish shotgun.  Looks pretty and it's lightweight but the action seems crude.  Has a 3-inch chamber, so he was using 1 1/4 oz. of 8s - same as I was using with my 12-gauge.
