This ol' boy's been putting on some weight, because he can't tear himself away from the feed station out back.   He eats birdseed with the turkeys, rabbits and perching birds on a daily basis - plenty of extended time here.  I saw another fox squirrel the other day and assumed it was a mate.  Nope!  The big rascal noticed the competition and the most serious chase I've seen was on!  I don't think the big guy ever caught up to the intruder, but he made his point.

I've also seen my first black squirrel this past week, but not at the feed.

Seven turkeys at about 7:30 last night.  Got a good rafter of them this year.

Had trouble with some coons but my neighbor, who hunts in the nude, took care of 'em.

Think about that for a minute.

Ummmmm... NO !

                          Tree Branch Calls

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again..

Think about Swampbuck10PT and the coyote that was taunting him:  "Didn't have time to dress..."  his words.

I purposely do not shoot the coons; don't have to, 'cause my neighbor piles 'em up.  He's probably taken out a few hundred over the years in the middle of the night when he wakes up and sees them on his bird feeder.  The ol' .22 mag has taken its toll.  Some happy vultures around here between the two of us.

I would not worry about being mistaken for big foot but, I might be mistaken for other things, especially at night.
