At 12:20 am this morning Mr Red Fox was Harvested in my back yard. I've been trying to out smart him for some time with calling all hours of the night and early morning---Threw Butchering scraps around out back but he didn't seem to care much for them---Seems if I was Watching for him he wasn't around but if I wasn't his tracks were always there LOL----Well After Sunday night football I decided to go to my Hide and give it one last try before Christmas---------------I got all set up- was going to turn on the Fox Pro. My old Model 48 with Baby Cottontail Distress on low. Just before I did I shined the back yard with the red lights. Seen a Cottontail Bunny bouncing around close to the house and than there they were eyes shining from the edge of the woods. [55yds away] I grabbed my T/C Contender 256 win mag [357 mag Pistol case necked down to 25 cal. ] shooting 70 gr Sierra--3x12x56 Vortex V-BRITE RED DOT---- He just dropped. Was I excited for a old Man that will be 72 next month LOL What a Great Christmas Present -THANK YOU LORD--Pictures taken I woke Sharon to see him and take a few too-She heard me shoot-------I just knew that with this fresh 2" of Snow we just got before dark that the critters would be moving----------But here's the Sad part Mr Red is a Mrs Red. I was so sure this Fox was a Male ---By the size of its tracks and the way it acted -Was I surprised when I looked when I got The Fox In the Shop and looked at the plumbing LOL---But I will Have Her tanned and enjoy the fur and the Memories for many years to come------------Here's pic's-------She weighed 10lbs even ----a fat little Vixen

Tree Branch Calls
Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon !
If you want to be successful, Be like a postage stamp, Stick to it until you get there
