We're even later for squirrels in Michigan with a start date of September 15th.  But, red squirrels can be taken anytime and there's no limit.  I've popped about a dozen already this summer when I find them stealing bird seed.  Vultures appreciate the fast food I leave 'em, too.

I so jealous our season doesn't open till September 10th. At least bear season starts on the 4th to keep me occupied!
