Finally got my first red and first predator I've called in with my new foxpro. It was 8 degrees this morning with 2 inches of snow on the ground. Walking in to my first stand and I notice a lot of different tracks, some of which I believe were bobcat, so it got me feeling pretty good about the day ahead. I walk a little further right where I had planned to set up and I notice in the distance, maybe 200 yards at this point and what I thought was a yote, booking it across the field in front of me. Just before it got out of sight it turned and gave me one last look. By this point I've hunkered down behind some brush. He runs on. So I go ahead and set up my e-caller right there. At the 5-6 minute mark here it comes from the exact way he went. Finally sneaks to about 10 yards from the call and sits down then begins to scan the area. Just as he turns his head opposite of me, I laid him down. At Approximately 20-25 yards with 3" 00 buck, he fell dead in his tracks.

Great looking Red! That's one predator I'd love to hunt. Don't really have them in AZ! Congrats!

                          Tree Branch Calls

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !

Unusual conditions for Kentucky, that's for sure.  Way to take advantage of conditions.  Good job with the camera, too.

Thanks for the kind words. We usually get a few days in the single digits this time of year, along with a few 60 degree days just a few days after lol

Nicely done with the 12 gauge. That's a very nice looking fox!  Great job on working the new e-caller also!
