Yup, them greys have a tendency to pop up close, most times, too close. I'd say you were about at the limit with the scope. Nicely done. I've been seeing quite a few tracks and sign this year. Looks like we may be in for a good fox year. Congratulations.

Invisibility, the next best thing to not being there!

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !

great job Eric !!

I also went out Monday morning. Six stands and called in 2 coyotes one on the first stand and one on the last stand at 11:00.  First one came in and stopped in real tall grass and I couldnt get a shot a 40 yds, it ran away and stopped in a fire break road at about 200 yds but I only had the .22 mag so I passed. second one came in hard running straight to the caller set about 30 yds to my right. Never stopped, just turned at caller and kept running. I barked several times but didnt work. Back to the .223 and a shotgun, lol

Thanx Ed. Seeing is believing... Better luck next time. I don't know what to bring anymore Ed. .17HMR/22-250, 20GA/22-250, I do know one thing, if I only bring the .17HMR a lion will show up.

Congrats again, it's always fun watching them come in!

I'm with JTK, I've seen a bunch of sign as well. Shoot, called in 5 Grey's on the last trip by accident. Can't wait to get after them this season!
