I don't see any reason it wouldn't work as long as you are within 50 to 60 yards and you shot placement is in the kill zone.

Finally retired and now I am learning how to farm and ranch. Been fun so far.

WMR ?

It'll work, like trees said though. It just doesn't have much energy left past that range.

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !

WMR is plenty for fox and shouldn't do a lot of damage. Folks in the UK shoot them with 22 lr.

.22 MAG is my go-to for fox.  Shoot 30 GRN CCI BLK tips.  No pelt damage and lots of blow-up inside.  Rarely an exit.  .22LR's work, but they are a little light FME if the shot isn't perfectly placed.

Natty, how do those 30 gr. black tips work on yotes?

I'm sure it would kill em, if you hit them right behind the shoulder.  CCI LR stingers put em down in traps.  With that said, I would prefer a .22 Centerfire. I know some states restrict .22 centerfires.

It's a great fox gun. It was a go to weapon when we were restricted to rimfire at night.
