No peestola, no brain. Guess he will either carry from now on or stay out of the woods when cubs are with mom--or learn to look where he is going if vegetation permits etc....

This is not the first animal/human encounter that we have had this year. There seem to be more bears in town, my guess is lack of the plants greening up higher up. Every one is talking about the late spring. We had squash plants not make it a couple of weeks ago due to the cold weather.

Never kick a dead coyote, especially one that ain't dead when your gun is still in the kitchen. Just ask your favorite Yooper what will happen. But if its a bobcat in a 330 coni and you think he's dead,,,,,Think again.. And we know you were wearing less than your PJ's on the last one you shot !

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon !

The bears got another one today, sow with a cub and it chewed a little on one woman who was able to get away from her.

The people next door called and said that a bear had been in there garden eating stuff, and wanted to let us know. Just in case we were going to be out and around, of course the first thing I did was go see if it was around. No bear.

ON my way to work today I saw one in the brush at the side of the road, just looking for food or trouble.

There was an article in the paper today about a grizzly attacking killing a person in the Denali national forist/park. Some hikers found some bloody cloths and hiked out to notify someone. When the found the bear it was protecting what it had covered up and the had to kill the bear. They have eight min. of pictures and him getting closer and closer to the bear.
