I grew up in Ohio and we use to use live traps to catch raccoons and let the pups get their scent and and bark at them in the trap.We would let the raccoons out hold the pups then let them chase after the raccoon by sight. Later we let the raccoon get a head start on the pups and get out of site then turn the pups loose. Training young dogs with older more exsperienced dogs is best. We did alot of squall outs and let the pups fight with the raccoons and man that got them pups wanting more.
