New Roof

A tile roof doesn't last forever.... Well the tile lasts the underlayment does not. We had a small leak a few months back when it came down in buckets. Lucky it was a very small leak and it was in the garage. But out of an abundance of caution I decided to have the underlayment replaced on the entire roof. It had lived its lifespan. The next project is Solar panels. We've had several "salesmen" come and give us their schpeel..... OMG so many of them are a ripoff. They go on and on about the tax rebates you are entitled to, there is just one problem, You have to owe tax in order to get that rebate. They want to finance the deal which eats up the rebate and then some. I've set us up so that I have a negative tax liability every year. It's easy to do, Just quit working. The personal deduction is far greater than the income I'll have this year or for several years to come....I hope ! I'm lucky that my wife is a human computer when it comes to numbers. And reading contracts !!!

So true Don, some good contractors out there, usually have to get the word out there through friends or coworkers, be patient and you'll find one.
Sounds like you are proactive in keeping your powder dry

Thats true, A leak in the wrong spot could do a lot of damage.
A little water goes a long ways when it comes to making a mess.
