We are up to 88 inches of snow for the winter season so far and a couple of months to go. Up here they are having trouble with finding places to put it. More is in the forecast.

My last year in Cassiar BC we had 26 1/2 ft of snow, it was a new record.

Holy crap ! Well that sure beats what we had last year. 😉
We have had in Valdaz AK snow in thwn that was 30ft. deep and in Tompson pass at 60 ft. that same year.
I think spring is here now, we have had a week of about 40 degress and up to about 13 hours of daylight. It is still getting below freezing every night but the snow has stated to melt. Hope it is a slow break up due to the amount of snow that we have.

Below freezing at night and warm up during the day, ideal conditions for runoff.
We have 90 inches for the season and it is all still here just settled.

Bit of rain in the forecast, warmer nights is a plus.
Not many pictures I did not take any but my wife did.
We had our first day at over 40 in the Anchorage area in 181 days.

We still have not broken 50 this spring, and there is still a foot and a half of snow in the yard.
Temps. way up there for the next week, can hear the river roaring already from the house.
We still have not had our first day of 50 or over this spring, in the offical record temp recording point. They say by the weekend we should and most of the snow is melted and soaked into the ground.
Heavy rain the last few days, snow melt is way to fast, flood watch everywhere in southern BC, evacuations for fires in northern Alta. and BC..

The offical temp for Anchorage is not 50 yet for this year, we have hit 49 many times and not 50. Most of the snow is gone except for the big piles.
