I never hear mentioned on this site about Mannlicher's, before I bought my Ruger's they were what I wanted and there was some rocking deals on them down in the states, there was such a demand that you had to order a year ahead, anybody I know that has one swears by them. Just curious?

Well back then they were suppose to be one of the elite firearms to own, I guess craftsmanship, investment, reliability, but there's a lot of guns that fit that description and then I think they were about 200 more than what I paid for the ruger, but happy with what I have!!!

Yes, I like my ruger also. Very well built and the price is right. Sort of wishing I had one in a 22 mag though.

OAC they still make them, I'll bet you never got that quit smoking reward from years ago did you ?

A lawyer friend has a couple Steyr-Mannlichers, there was also a Mannlicher- Shoenour(sp) and a Mannlicher= Carcano that were made at one time.

I have a few Rugers the only one that doesn't shoot spot on is the P-89 itcycles everything though and is plenty accurate for home defense.

You are right YD ! I never did redeem that certificate...wonder if there is an expiration ??

I will keep my eyes open on finding one...at least seeing one.

DO NOT ASK THE WIFE...if there is an expiration, take my word for it there is not.
