For those of you that already have one of these units, I have a few questions:

Initial purchase to include the light/mount/red lense/battery pack/spare bulb. Anything else??

how long does the battery pack last if the light is on the whole time?

Rechargeable in the truck?

Where in the USA did you find the best prices for these?

Any other hints?

I will be mounting this on a flattop .223 AR with a 50 mm scope.
Thanks, Mike

Mike,

You will want the 170mm version you can always use the dimmer if to bright..
You will not be dissappointed in the lightforce.. Go to www.apcalls.com and go to the calling accessories section then find the Night Hunting then Scopelights and spotlights section.. There you will find the best prices on these lights and package deals also.. Then battery will last a good 4-5 hours for me, the trick is to leave the light on very dim till you are ready to shoot.. If you buy the package it doues come with a 12 maintiance charger for in the truck.. You will need a 1.5 amp battery charge also to completely recharge the battery .. You can buy these at your local wal-mart, or if you have a battery charger for your vehicles it might have the 1.5-2amp setting on it already.. You also might want to check out a product that I make while you are at apcalls.com it is the "Silent Halo Shield" this product helps to hide you in darkness behind the light..

I hope this helps,
