well i figured since this forum is called TASTY CRITTERS
this was the most appropriate area for this topic
i couple of weeks back i filled my fall wild turkey tag and the wife and i grilled the bird that same night for dinner
well i didnt remember to get pics of that meal
however we made soup from the left overs of the bird
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm me likey wild turkey noodle soup mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
when i hunt and kill an animal i have to clean and cook it
the wife helps it eat
well when it comes to the leftovers, thats all her then
she gets all the credit for making the soup
she picked all the left over meat from the carcass of the bird
then she boiled the carcass for several hours on the stove to extract all the good flavors of the wild bird to male the broth for the soup
then she added the vegies and seasonings
and of course you cant foret the thick egg noodles or ot wouldnt be "noodle soup"
well when it got home my buddies house after a day of knapping i was hungry,i mean REAL hungry
when i walked into the house i was greated by the great smell of her home made wild turkey noddle soup
and a kiss from my lovely bride(cant say which is better, the smell of the soup or a kiss from her as i love them both)
gotta say this is by far her best batch of home made soup yet
my tummy is full and very satisfied
heres a pic, hope ya'll enjoy looking at it as much as i did eating eat
Sg, this pot is half full yet after we were done eating tonight. your more than welcome to come get some
