Started everything off with a young female yote on Friday. Same place as usual and Im going with the vole squeaks off and on for around 10min varying the volume and see nothing so I just sit in silence to think about it.... Hit the g. fox pup dist for 3 or 4min on a whim and she's already on a solid trot 5yds away from the Mojo Puppy til I notice her. Killed at approx 25yds with the Rem 870 20ga #3buck mag. Not sure how well (if at all?) it helped but I put out some " Coyote Juice " around the area before my hunt. Anybody use it or know if it works?

Started again at night on the same property with 2 good friends of mine. Against my gut feeling I decided to call a different area so as to give my honey hole a break ( as if that really matters because the whole property is about 60ac. in total ). Tried a couple different setups / sounds with Nothing showing except for some eyes I think I saw for a split second. Friends left around 11pm so I decide to hit the sack for some much needed rest. Slept in pretty late til about 8am and go calling at a different place approx 2 miles to the north. My batteries are dead on the Foxpro by now so Im using the Psycho Tweety, Longrange Tweety , Primos Catnip and a Hunters Specialties e - caller which holds 5 sounds. Going through most of my calls with nothing showing I end up on the cottontail at the 15min mark and see a Nice yote staring right at me. Hesitated pulling the trigger because of the distance (a good 70yds +) and by the time I was ready it must've caught my wind high tailing it outta there. Really disgusted with myself I was bound and determined no matter what to put some more fur down on the ground. Debating on buying new batteries for the Foxpro , where to go , etc.. I decided to heck with it and went Back to the honeyhole from Friday. Got setup without the Mojo Puppy / FX3 this time which certainly left doubts in my mind but this female still came on a dead run to the cottontail and the chicken ...... lol From some kind of childrens toy stuffed chicken that makes clucking noises when you pull it from the crown. Im always down for off the wall tactics and I reckon thats one of them. Shot from approx 23yds and switch to the coyote pup dist as soon as possible. Not even 3 minutes into it and I catch movement to my right, another cat?? It all happened so quick but it looked like a baby kitten coming for mother. Took a rushed / stupid shot at 55yds and hit it as I see some crazy flip 5ft + down into the brush. Searched and searched with no sign so sadly give up :frusty: :frown2:
Sorry for the long story and if its hard to understand- very tired.
