Just a real quick question to the members out here. What can we do to PredatorTalk, to make it your GO TO predator hunting forum on the internet? You've got a lot of choices and we get that... but how can we make this place better?

Open to any and all suggestions. If you want, you can post them here or send a private message.

Thanks for your support!

Looking back, the give aways were a big draw IMO. I know merchandise is a hard item to obtain with the manufacturers always struggling to make a buck, however those items in the last give aways seem to have a hugh interest.

I agree 220, many of the people just came just for the giveaways after posting 5 times, and some stayed. If it was set up so that they had to remain active we just might keep a few more of them.

I personally think we have a great bunch of members and by continuing to reinforce civil behavior I think it'll stay that way.

And if you haven't noticed it is my GO TO site LOL.

Thank you for the opportunity to come here and share what I know and to learn what I don't.

I believe that everyday there are things posted here that are paramount to becoming a better predator hunter and many of them make myself, and hopefully others, look at the way we do things differently. Many times while in the field I draw upon a tidbit of information I've read here. Perhaps a "tip of the week" would help to ingrain some ideas and habits.

I agree with 220 and with what Don said. Maybe make it so you must be an active member for at least 30 days and need to have made more than 5 posts before you can enter the giveaways. As some made 5 worthless posts, won nothing and didn't come back.

All excellent ideas ! In the last couple of weeks we've had guys signing up after lurking and finding out how great a site it is where they can come here and not be attacked for a simple question or idea. I do however like the idea of the giveaways. I think people need to engage a little more in order to qualify though. Not sure how to go about that. Maybe some of us can put our heads together and come up with ways to help out trying to get products to give away. I love this site and will do anything I can to help you grow it !

I heard him Don, he said anything! I agree the everyone give-aways would be nice. I'm with Bones and think that more participation should be required though. Like Matt said 5 wimpy posts and you never hear from them again. I am new to the site and love it. I would consider myself too new to the site to particpate. Maybe there is some way to have 2 different classes of give-aways. The nicer items are for the long-term members and the other class for the somewhat newer members who appear to be permanent fixtures.
I'm not sure if Matt meant a forum on wildlife photography or a photo gallery but I like the idea of both. I think a lot guys would visit both.
I would like to say that the members here are a lot more helpful than other sites and there seems to be a unitity or brotherhood that the other sites lack. I have really enjoyed my time here and look forward to seeing the new posts.

That WOULD be a great way to get info on being a better photographer. I for one would love some pointers. Maybe include pointers on shooting videos.

Grand idea Matt.

Its my go to site. Everybody here is great to talk with and share stories. The input you get from others make you feel like a member. Alot of useful info from others who are willing to share. Alot of great humor and good, clean fun. Maybe a section that just for all the great jokes that people post on here.

I don't just mean photo's of dead stuff, we all spend time out in the wilds, some more than others so lets share the wildlife and beautiful countryside.

the giveaways are nice as it brings people in.i held a contest on my savage page for the best looking savage rifle.i then let the members vote and the winner received a midway usa gift card.i think the biggest challenge any forum faces is the fact that there are tons of other forums out there and it's hard to compete sometimes.another thing i could reccomend is start a facebook page and get the forum into a social network.the more exposure you have the better, and its free.i would be willing to start the page and get it out to the public if thats something you all would be interested in.several of the members already have their personal page so it would be a good start.when my coffee kicks in i have some other ideas as well.marty

oh this is my go to page. i have learned so much and hopefully helped others with what little knowledge i have. some of the other sites i have stumbled across its not about the brotherhood that we have but more or less one upping someone to make yourself feel better. on here no one is better than anyone and it really shows.i have recommended this site to everyone i know and i only recommend what i think is the absolute best !!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss my ex-wife, but on the bright side, my aim is getting better
