Kinda wondering if that's not what's been happening out here at our place. We keep blaming the local lion, but we're averaging a fresh deer kill every 2-3 weeks right by the house. Seems like too big of an area for a kill to be happening right by the house that frequently. Kills are always blood free.... with teeth marks in the neck. Typical of a cat.

Measure the distance between the teeth marks, thatmay give you a clue as to the size of the predator.

I could not tell from the pictures, but it didn't look as if the cat ate much of the deer. I think they kill just for the fun of it at times.

i saw a video on tv once of a single bobcat killing a 6' timber rattler.. they are a force to recon with...lol

I figured you guys would get a kick out of it. Oneshot I've seen that video too. He toyed with snake,killed it and then walked away. Nasty little buggers !
