Go ahead guys, I'd like to hear your single favorite gun, pistol or rifle; shotgun, single-shot; auto or semi of ALL TIME.

You don't have to own it currently, but for grins let's say you at least have to have shot it. Sound good?

While I think it's totally unfair to any of my guns to name just one as my favorite, I'm going to have to go with my grandpa's old 1952 Sears & Roebuck J.C. Higgins 12 gauge withe the ported polychoke. Not the prettiest, not the best, just my favorite.

I could get into favorite lever gun, favorite hunting rifle, favorite rimfire, favorite battle rifle, revolver, pistol etc and the list would never end. What about you guys? What are your favs?

OH and to answer the others: Marlin 444 ported, currently my newish Remington R-15, Savage 93r17, M1 Garand... again, it would never end. :)

My dealer called today to tell me my PM9 arrived. So, I go to make the purchase, checking out the gun I find the magazine release doesnt seem to work. When the mag release is pressed the magazine doesnt drop, doesnt even move. I have to pry it out with my fingers. I try the second mag and it does the same thing. So then I try to use the slide release and it is very hard to release. The dealer couldnt get either release to work properly. So he ordered up another PM9 for me. It seems that Kahr quality control must have missed the quality check on this one. Thats the first pistol I have seen that wouldnt release a magazine.

I was looking for a new .45acp in double/single action. Beretta stopped making the model 8045, and it is now being made by Stoeger. While looking for a Stoeger Cougar, I found a genuine Beretta "mini cougar" that is in near new condition. It came with two magazines, and was still in the original plastic case. I bought it at a fair price, and picked up a 50 round box of 230 grain FMJ ammo. I took this gun out north of town and set up a paper plate for a target. I used a bulls bag on hood of my truck, and shot this six shot group at 18 yrds.

Well I went Thursday and tested the Icon and my reloading ability. To say I was pleased would be a major understatement. This gun can diffinitly shoot beyond my capalbilties. I put 3 different 223 cal. Factory loads downstream and several handloads. All factory ammo shot fine, but I was surprised to find that the Fioccho ammo out shot Hornady and Winchester factory ammo. It came as no surprise the V-Max bullets out shot the soft point ammo. I shot the 50gr and 55gr V- Max Fiocchi ammo and got my best grouping form them of all the ammo I shot. This was in both guns fired T/C Icon and Rem. R-15. Now the conditions was not the best as it was 82 degrees at 7am. and was over a hundred by 1pm and humidity sucked to be polite. I am going to try and post pics. We will see if it works.<a href="http://www.predatortalk.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1437" title="Name:
Ebbs pointed it out to me at a time when I was looking to move from a compact 1911 into a full size. Its bobtail frame, night sights, and light weight has made it the perfect carry for me. Carrying a full size 1911 in .45 is a pretty big commitment, but I am 100% satisfied with my choice.
