Your task, should you accept, is to help one determine how best to stock up. You see, I've been mulling over some thoughts on my hunting preferences here lately and thought I'd hit the boards to see what others were thinking (and using) as well.

There are many species that I love to hunt, but I want to keep each discussion very focused and very specific. For the purpose of this discussion, my interests here are focused on coyote / bobcat / fox / wolf.

Now here's the meat of my inquiry.... you are to identify the following that you would use:

1) What rifle would you use for each?

2) What bow would you use for each?

I have my thoughts but will chime in later after I see what some of y'alls is! I'll let this discussion run for a while and then compile the responses (along with responses that I receive from other inquiries) and post them up on my blog (and here of course!!!).

Finally the season is upon us. Itching to get out and do some shooting, camping, scouting etc..Weather hunting predators, small or large game as a hunting fraternity remember to be professional at all times. Respect the outdoors, country roads, landowners, farmers, and most of all the animals we are hunting. Make clean kills, if for consumption take your time and do a good job as it will show at the table, clean the area up abit if around public or on private land so the anti's won't have anything to complain about. Come back later and give that landowner a few chops or some sausage for being allowed to hunt or cross his land.Take those loved ones out with you young or old as they are just as excited to get out as you But most of all Have Fun
Happy Hunting.

Go ahead guys, I'd like to hear your single favorite gun, pistol or rifle; shotgun, single-shot; auto or semi of ALL TIME.

You don't have to own it currently, but for grins let's say you at least have to have shot it. Sound good?

While I think it's totally unfair to any of my guns to name just one as my favorite, I'm going to have to go with my grandpa's old 1952 Sears & Roebuck J.C. Higgins 12 gauge withe the ported polychoke. Not the prettiest, not the best, just my favorite.

I could get into favorite lever gun, favorite hunting rifle, favorite rimfire, favorite battle rifle, revolver, pistol etc and the list would never end. What about you guys? What are your favs?

OH and to answer the others: Marlin 444 ported, currently my newish Remington R-15, Savage 93r17, M1 Garand... again, it would never end. :)
