To those of you that drive a routine route off the beaten path. Have you notice that more and more hogs are being hit ? Used to it wasnt uncommon to see a deer or two dead on the side of the road each day or two.
I took a job about 40ish miles from the house. I see at least one dead hog scene each week and sometimes 3 or 4 per week. ( only work 4 nights...

Our BIG fires !

two weeks ago a fire started about 10 miles from house. The winds blew it to the north. Then Another about 45 miles North West of me broke out. Several more in the mean time broke out. March Calling contest

Howa 1500 223

I did a lil tradeing and ended up with a Howa 1500 223, black synthetic stock. Really had no intentions of keeping the gun so I ordered a cheap Barska scope for it. Ill get the details on the scope and post it later. Put the new eyes on top and stuck it in the cabinet for future trade bait.

Otis Elite cleaning kit

Ok Ive got to say that I am VERY pleased with this kit.
I have never used the cable or rope type kits, always used the old screw togather rod kit that I have had for 20 yrs.

Dug out my 17 fireball and cleaned it with the Otis. I honestly have to say that the bore is as clean as it was the day I pulled it out of the box ! I live out in BFE and good cleaning...
