PETA Attacks (I know its Long but what the heck)

Posted by ReidRH, 18 May 2011 · 151 views

I Mentioned in another spot on here today that I had been personally attacked by PETA on Federal Land. This is that Story:

I was Hunting a national forest close to where I live my son who was about 5 yrs old was hunting with me this particular day the weather was not too bad, pleasant really. I parked my truck and we hit the woods spent about 1/2 the day hunting but didnt connect with a deer. We got back to the truck for some lunch and headed out after a midday break in a different direction. Hunted the rest of the evening No Luck. Returned to the truck to head home there was a loud mouth guy jacking his jaws normally I would have had more of a discussion with this idiot but My Son was with me so I opted to Leave quietly. After I Left the national forest I got an emergency Phone Call and had to rush Approximately 50 miles to a hospital! Only after the business at the Hospital was taken care of did I realize the Loudmouth in the forest had spiked two of my tires!! I drove with my 5 year old son approximately 50 miles on Spiked Tires! By this time my Cell battery was dead and had to borrow one to phone my wife and tell her my situation. as luck would have it my spare was good and I was able to get a tire plug at the local Wal Mart to fix the other tire to get home!

So I Have Very Little Patience with PETA and the idiots thereof!

Second attack: My sixteen year old Stepson and I was hunting in the same forest I am thinking the Same Year. When We arrived at our hunting spot we had decided to hunt there was a dog walking around I shooed the dog away hoping it would not follow me as this was a Still Hunting NO Dogs allowed Area. I Noticed a truck coming down the road and thought nothing of it and walked on into the woods. My stepson took my truck and went on down the road and the dog followed him. I hadnt walked 50 yards into the woods and a shot rang out in my direction!! I just thought that someone had shot at a deer. After Getting to my Stand and settling down I was watching a couple of Does in just a few minutes all of a sudden they threw their heads up and took off running! I knew they hadn't smelled me so I got to looking around and my stepson came walking down to where I was he was Scared to death!

I asked him what was going on and he said the guy in the truck had Scolded him Royaly using very foul language so he decided to come get me. That is when he told me the guy had shot toward me! I WAS FURIOUS! At First I wanted a confrontation with this fool, but as we walked out I told my stepson, there is a better way to handle this. I called the National Forest Enforcement Officer and explained to him what happened. By the time all was said and done Our Day Was Ruined and we were 12:00 Midnight getting through the interrogation the officer put me and my Stepson Through.

Thankfully, My stepson wrote down the Guys Tag Number and the officer Knew him immediately as he had had Problems with him before! I told the officer that he needed to inform the man, He had shot at me once and there would not be a second time! That the Guy needed to be aware if he saw ME he Had best be looking over his shoulder and moving away as he had already had the first shot and I am not in the habit of Missing!

I have Never Seen the man Since either!

PETA SUX!

So Now you know the rest of the Story! As Paul Harvey would Say!

It Doesn't take much of a man to curse out a 16 year old boy! I can tell you this, He is not sixteen anymore and he is an expert rifleman in the US Marine Corps. I figure he could handle the ole fart either way he wants to take it now. Yes I know His name and Address and No I am not Looking for any more trouble from this Idiot, but I can Promise You this I will Not be so Nice the Next time he Jacks his Jaw.
You handled the situation quite well Richard, especially with family with you, what could or maybe have happened is not a good situation with witness's around period.
I agree with Rick, you handled this in the correct (adult) way. I had to listen to them drive around with music playing really loud and their horn honking one day. They fortunately stayed at a motel in town where their car was recognized by some other hunters whom I met the next day, they may have made it back to the woods the next day but the way the guys told me the story it would have been on foot.
I hope you run into him again before I do! What a tard. Hunting is the most ethical and environmental way of adding meat to our diet. What are these idots thinking. To think about the extend at which anti hunters will go to to put an end to our great hobby is amazing. They have far fewer followers than hunting, but their voices are much louder. www.bestforhunting.com
